Dr. Idriss, the innovative clinical skincare brand founded by dermatologist Dr. Shereene Idriss, has recently appointed Tamera Ferro as its first chief marketing officer.
Ferro’s priority is to refine the brand’s identity by establishing cohesive messaging throughout marketing channels and Dr. Idriss’ extensive social media presence, which boasts over four million followers.
Before joining Dr. Idriss, Ferro held the position of CMO at Sol de Janeiro, where she played a crucial role in the brand’s global expansion, especially after its acquisition by L’Occitane in 2021.
“Dr. Idriss has made clinical skincare really human. That resonates with the future I envision,” Ferro shared with The Business of Beauty.
Established in 2022, Dr. Idriss has gained recognition for its scientifically-supported skincare products, including the Major Fade Solution acne scar system and the Depuffer roll-on serum. The brand recently introduced Disco Block, its first SPF product, in June 2025.
Idriss mentioned the decision to expand the executive team came during a significant growth phase. Brand president Ariel Gold highlighted the strengthened partnership with Sephora, where Dr. Idriss officially launched in March 2024, and plans to enhance shelf presence across U.S. and Canadian locations by early 2026. Although the brand made its debut in the UK in September 2024, North America remains the primary focus for future growth.
Idriss emphasized, “Our goal is truly to become the leading clinical skincare brand.”
