Perelel, the Women’s Wellness Trailblazer, Secures $27 Million in Groundbreaking Funding

    Perelel

Perelel has made headlines with a notable $27 million funding round led by Prelude Growth Partners. Other contributors included Unilever Ventures, Willow Growth Partners, and Selva Ventures, all of whom were also part of its Series A funding in 2024.

Founded by Victoria Thain Gioia, Alex Taylor, and Dr. Banafsheh Bayati, an obstetrician and gynecologist, Perelel was established to address a gap in the prenatal vitamin market. This space is marked by an abundance of doctor recommendations but a significant lack of regulation akin to that of pharmaceuticals. The brand has broadened its reach to encompass additional areas like perimenopause, hormones, and fertility.

Neda Daneshzadeh, co-founder and managing partner at Prelude, highlighted that Perelel’s unique blend of being physician-founded, along with its clinical validation and commitment to women’s health research, was instrumental in attracting their investment. Prelude has a successful track record with other beauty and wellness brands, including Sol de Janeiro, Naturium, and Phlur, all of which have garnered impressive exits.
