Anticipating their own fairy-tale journey, designers Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell are set on making wedding dreams come true with their latest initiative. They have collaborated with three talented Etsy sellers to create an exclusive wedding capsule aptly named “Happy Ever After.”
This thoughtfully curated eight-piece collection features a range of wedding essentials, including handcrafted ties from HandsomeandLace, priced between $100 to $150, delicate veils from Whichgoose, offered at $300 to $800, and customizable invitations from UTWOStudio, ranging from $15 to $35 each. The collection is set to launch online this Wednesday at the same time as Tanner Fletcher’s highly anticipated second show during New York Bridal Fashion Week, held at St. Bartholomew’s Church. Additionally, it will be showcased two days later at the brand’s inaugural wedding expo, welcoming pre-registered guests from the public.
Richie and Kasell are avid aficionados of antiques, and their passion for discovery often leads them to Etsy for unique finds. “When it comes to wedding planning, people typically fall into two categories: those who hire planners for a hands-off experience and those who want to take a hands-on approach. We definitely align with the latter,” Kasell explains. Their DIY ethos resonates throughout the entire collection, reflecting a genuine desire to craft memorable experiences.
Interestingly, Richie and Kasell manage their own event productions, although they did receive some support from Etsy for their spring 2026 “Re-decorating” runway performance, which showcased their homeware collaboration. Eager to build on this endeavor with a wedding focus, the designers recognize that couples play a significant role in the success of Tanner Fletcher, comprising 50% of its direct-to-consumer business. “This sector is incredibly important to us, and we are committed to investing in it,” Kasell adds.
The enchanting “Happy Ever After” theme owes its charm to Emily Suidikas, founder of Whichgoose. Kasell and Richie had been captivated by her Cinderella veil, adorned with the iconic phrase, and decided to collaborate. Together, they incorporated the individual expertise of HandsomeandLace and UTWOStudio to reimagine Tanner Fletcher’s signature embellishments like bows, rosettes, and intricate lace.
This venture into Etsy serves merely as a prologue to the creative narrative Richie and Kasell are weaving for the current season. Kasell describes their vision as a contemporary twist on classic fairy tales, reminiscent of Disney’s animated gems from the 1950s: “We wanted to breathe modernity into timeless stories.”
When discussing their plans to evolve from last year’s memorable bridal show, which featured an avant-garde marriage ceremony, Kasell hints at an enchanting presentation this time around. “We envision this as a mini ballet experience; the wedding segment can often feel predictable, and Tanner Fletcher thrives on doing things differently,” he states.
With a collection that showcases the talents of independent artisans and infuses fresh creativity into wedding aesthetics, Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell are not only crafting a whimsical narrative but also setting a new standard in the wedding industry. Their innovative approach appeals to both modern couples and traditionalists alike, ensuring their designs will resonate long after the festivities fade away.
